DKV Fleet View - handwired

The telematics handwired is a low-maintenance tracking device that allows it to be permanently installed in your vehicle.

Employers are legally obliged to instruct employees on how to use company cars (ArbSchG & DGUV regulation 70). DKV offers its customers in Germany a simple and secure solution at attractive special conditions.

Drivers are asked by SMS or email to carry out the LapID driver instruction in German, English, French or Polish. You determine the modules to be carried out by your drivers individually based on the risk assessment that has been carried out. In the case of electric vehicles, for example, further content must be taught. In the area of professional drivers, in addition to general driver instruction, topics such as load securing, driving and rest times, but also dangerous goods transport are relevant. The costs are billed monthly for each driver created, the documentation is automatic.

The training is structured according to German law: According to Section 12 of the ArbSchG, the employer must adequately and appropriately instruct employees about safety and health protection at work during their working hours. According to § 35 DGUV regulation 70, the employer may only entrust such drivers with the independent driving of mechanically driven vehicles who have been instructed in driving the vehicle and have proven their ability to do so.

The driver can install the Driver App via the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. The fleet manager enables the driver in the LapID customer system to use this control method. The driver is now requested to have his driving license checked every six months.

After the driver has been asked to check his driver's license, the driver starts the driver app and transmits a picture of his driver's license to the LapID system via the smartphone's camera. After completion of the test, all driving license recordings are deleted in accordance with data protection and the successful control is documented in the LapID system. At the same time, the driver receives information about the result of the driver's license check.

Protection against manipulation is an important factor when carrying out a legally secure driver's license check via app. To ensure this, LapID uses a multi-stage verification process that checks the driver's license for authenticity. Due to its complexity, this procedure is currently only available for the German and Austrian EU driving license card.

The seal is affixed to the driver's license by an authorized person (e.g. the fleet manager). Finally, the number of the attached seal is assigned to the corresponding driver in the LapID customer system; the driver is now requested to have his driving license checked every six months.

After the driver has been asked to check his driver's license, he goes to the nearest test station and holds the sealed driver's license up to the test station. A beep confirms that the check was successful. The test station sends the read seal number to the LapID customer system via the mobile network.

Due to its special structure, the seal is not destroyed in everyday use; however, if an attempt is made to remove the seal from the driver's license, the integrated predetermined breaking point will destroy the seal. With this mechanism, the driver's license check via the RFID seal is equivalent to a visual check.
